JOIN THE OPEN EVENTS AND HELP US CREATE A MOVEMENT TO IMPROVE WASTE MANAGEMENT AND CHANGE TO THE BETTER THE LIVES OF WASTE PICKERS IN BRASÍLIA AND BEYOND
IN THE ERASMUS+ EGALITARIAN PROGRAMME, MANY STUDENTS DEVELOP PROJECTS USING TECHNOLOGY, AIMING TO MAKE AN IMPACT ON THE ISSUES OF WASTE MANAGEMENT AND WASTE PICKERS IN BRASÍLIA.
THIS YEAR WE HAVE NEW STUDENTS AND PROJECTS COMING.
THE FIRST OPEN DAY IS JANUARY 27, 2025, AT 14:00 AT FINATEC.
THERE, WE WILL HAVE AN EVENT WITH AN OPEN TALK INVOLVING WASTE PICKERS, STUDENTS, TEACHERS, REPRESENTATIVES OF THE DANISH EMBASSY IN BRASÍLIA AND OTHERS. IT IS OPEN, SO YOU JUST NEED TO SHOW UP TO ATTEND. YOU WILL BE ABSOLUTELY WELCOME. THE EVENT WILL BE OVER AT AROUND 16:00.
THE SECOND OPEN DAY IS JANUARY 31, 2025, AT 9:00 AT FINATEC.
THERE, WE WILL HAVE OPEN LECTURES AND STUDENTS WILL PRESENT THEIR PLANS TO THE SEMESTER. IT IS OPEN, SO YOU JUST NEED TO SHOW UP TO ATTEND. YOU WILL BE ABSOLUTELY WELCOME. THE EVENT WILL BE OVER AT AROUND 15:00 (LUNCH BREAK FROM 12:00-13:30).

General Context 2025
EGALITARIAN is a student-driven initiative that brings together diverse talents to develop solutions to improve the waste management and the life of waste pickers in Brasília, aligned with the 2030 Agenda's goals. Each semester, students undertake different projects within this framework, aiming at maximum impact.
The Event
As part of the ERASMUS+ EGALITARIAN SDG Challenge, we are having a one-week conference in Brasília, Brazil, during January 27-31, 2025. The event is taking place at FINATEC, which is located in the area of University of Brasília.
Universities
The students will have the opportunity to develop and present in Brazil the project proposals of the Portfolio of Sustainability Projects, carried out in partnership between the University of Brasília, Aalborg University, Saxion University and University of Minho.
About Egalitarian
During the conference, from Jan 27-31, all international technology-oriented students will work together on the project proposals for the following semester, based on the context of waste pickers and waste management in Brasília. Then, the students from all involved countries will make their semester projects in the european spring of 2025 based on these project proposals.
